A-Top Z-Alien Mid-tower ATX Case Review

Conclusion

The Z-Alien has given me quite a roller coaster ride. It has all the style of a ‘80s hair band – Love it or hate it, you can’t ignore it. I personally think that appearance is a judgment call that cannot be quantified, so I’ll leave that out of my pros and cons. I will also leave out the “hole punch grille” and the thumb screw shortage…these items can be easily fixed at minimal cost. The rail system is amazing, and I know I’ll be missing that arrangement in my other cases. The ventilation on this case is outstanding, and combined with the 120mm fan really keeps this case cool. I do find the lack of documentation, no motherboard tray, and a shaky power button to be serious problems, considering the amount of money invested. I really could not recommend the Z-Alien to a newcomer who has never built their own computer before, but given a little patience and a few mods this could be a really outstanding case.

You can purchase this case from Xoxide.com for $119.99 and is available in Blue, Silver, and Black.
