Xoxide X-Dreamer  Mid-Tower Case Review (Blue) - Continued

Features

This case is packed with features.  Let's take a closer look at them.

The front of the case has an acrylic panel attached to enhance its appearance.   The top two 5.25" bays have a hinged door with eject buttons to hide your CD drives and keep the color scheme consistent.  We will test these out to see if they work properly a bit later on.  Probably its most noticeable feature is the built-in temperature sensor with backlit display.  We will see it in action later.   The power and reset buttons are located on the outer housing of the temp display.   Personally, I'm quite picky about how well the power and reset buttons work and these have a real nice feel to them.

The side panel of the Xdreamer has a nice big factory installed window with a crystal LED fan pre-installed near the upper left corner.

Their is one more pre-installed crystal fan (no LED) located on the top of the case which will serve as a blowhole.  The Xdreamer comes with a P4 approved Turbolink aluminum 350W PSU.  I'm not sure a 350W Power supply is sufficient, especially if your going to install and use all 8 fans.  Yes 8 fans! (more on that in a minute).  Those with plenty of drives and devices may want to get a better PSU.

What I really like most about this case is the number of fans that can be installed in it.  A total of 8 fans!  I really like what they have done with the rear, allowing you to either install two 80mm fans or one 120mm fan.  This is great for those who would like to install a much larger fan an minimize noise levels.   The front of the case allows for up to four 80mm fans to be installed.  The other two fans are the pre-installed ones we looked at earlier.  I'm impressed to see a mid-tower case with this many fan mounts.    This case should provide excellent cooling.  We will be testing its max cooling ability by installing all 8 fans.

On the bottom front of the case you have a small door which reveals its two USB 2.0 ports and audio jacks for your headphone and line in.
