Conclusions

I’ll be honest – this is a real awkward review
for me to write. On one hand, we have an excellent mouse, and on the other
we have a disaster of a test program. In deference to A4 I will assume that
they know a lot more about mice then programming, so we’ll focus on the real
star of this show – the X7. There is really a lot to like about this mouse.
It’s a great performer, and the DPI shifting capability is a very useful
feature to have if you don’t want two mice running around on your desktop.
From a purely performance standpoint this mouse is on par with both the
Diamondback and the MX1000 for accuracy and precision, but fits in neatly
between the capabilities of the two as far as resolution. If the Diamondback
is too much or the MX1000 is too slow, you might want to check out the
X-710. The workmanship and materials on this mouse are top notch…It’s as
solid as both the MX1000 and the Diamondback. The A4 Tech X710 easily earns
our highest recommendation!
