Ultra X2 550W Titanium Modular Power Supply Review

Model:  ULT31851

Manufacturer:  Ultra Products

Provider:  Xoxide

Reviewed By:  Miguel

Review Date:  02/27/06

Ultra Products was one of the first companies to release a modular power supply that has quickly evolved into "almost" a standard now.  A couple of years ago, I showed you their X-Connect modular PSU which was impressive, but there were certainly some areas for improvement.  In fact, that same unit is still kicking on one of my test rigs and that's how stable and reliable I find that particular unit.  Now, Ultra Products has introduced their new X2 series which not only sports some significant changes that will please a majority, but offers you enough juice for even the most power-hungry setups and hardcore overclockers.

The box is rather large for a power supply, but with good reason!  They include plenty of cables packaged in and inner box.
