Conclusions

It wasn't long before a flash drive
manufacturer would release a product to support this somewhat useful Vista
feature. The OCZ VBoost may not be the fastest nor the highest quality
drive on the market, but in the end, it does indeed provide a slight "boost"
in performance. Its design and quality were obviously not the main
focus here and more attention was given to its performance. Its dual
channel flash chipset and high capacity is what provides the slight increase
in overall system performance. When you factor in the cost of
additional system memory, a ReadyBoost flash drive will appeal to a majority
on a budget looking for at least a slight increase in system performance and
application load times. Priced between 42.99 - 45.00, it is a much
more economical means of increasing system performance. Bottom line
here is that flash memory is now much less expensive than system memory and
as time goes by, I see many more users taking advantage of this feature.
The OCZ VBoost happens to be one of the better options out there for such
use.
