Conclusions

The
XL series is a major step in the right direction in order to achieve a higher
level of performance from DDR memory. The lower latencies do really
play a major role in overall system performance, and they show in our test
results. Don't be fooled by the fact that they are PC3200 modules.
They perform just as well, and in most cases, better than most higher rated
memory modules on the market and should be considered by those looking to
achieve a higher level of performance. Provided you are running them
along with a high-end Canterwood motherboard, you can run them completely
stable at speeds up to 500MHz. Combined with the lower latencies
supported, the results can be impressive. Based on our test results,
these new XL modules are clearly a better buy over the more expensive PC4000
options currently available. Stability was by far, the best I've
experienced from any of the modules I've had the pleasure of reviewing.
Highly recommended.
