Topic:  PSU Jumper

Our first tip will involve powering up your ATX PSU without a motherboard. Being able to power up a PSU independent of the mobo will allow users to test system components as well as giving you the flexibility to install a second PSU in your case without resorting to potentially dangerous rewiring.

 

Lets Begin...

 

Locate the green lead on your ATX power connector. This is easy as there is only one green lead as shown below:

Next make a jumper from a piece of wire. I prefer the 18 gauge solid strand type. Strip both ends of the wire and insert one end into the pin connector that corresponds to the green lead. Insert the other end of the jumper to any pin connector that has a black lead. You should end up with the following:

Now you can plug your PSU to an electrical source and power up any system components you wish. As you can see we tested the different components of the ExtremeMhz Flagship case using this very method.  Notice the jumper on the bottom left corner of the picture below:
