As some of you know already, our now popular flagship case made it to the front page of slashdot.org yesterday. As a result, we received such an overwhelming response that it crippled our server for a couple of hours. We would like you to know that we are back and operational. :) We would like to thank you all for the interest and for the responses we have received. It is definitely exciting.
Most of you wondered why we would even attempt to mod a hard drive. We would like you to know that the hard drive on the flagship case is purely for looks. The finished project will consist of two 15K Seagate Cheetah's that will be cooled by Coolermaster HD coolers. The hard drive mods we have done are on older "spare" drives we had lying around. They will not be used as a primary drive in our systems. Simply for testing purposes and to add to the theme of the project. The drives do happen to work for the time being. But this is a risky mod and we do not recommend this be done on any of your primary drives or on any high performance or expensive drives you may have..
You can continue to track our progress with the project and encouraged to discuss it further in our forums.
Thanks again for your comments! They are appreciated.
