For performance testing, we used the
following benchmarking software: SiSoft Sandra 2002
Professional, MadOnion PCMark 2002, and ZD Winbench 99 mainly focusing
on CPU and memory performance. |
|
|
Test System:
Intel Pentium 4 533mhz 2.4Ghz @ 2.62Ghz
Corsair XMS PC2700 DDR 333
ATI Radeon 7500 AIW 64MB
Western Digital 80GB Special Edition (8MB
buffer)
Windows XP Professional SP1
Sandra 2002 Professional:
Sandra Pro is a system diagnostic and
benchmarking utility which also provides a comprehensive review of your
entire system.

First is the CPU Arithmetic Benchmark.
Our test showed 5184.

Our CPU Multi-Media Benchmark Results:
10435

Our Memory Benchmark Results: 2184
MadOnion PCMark 2002:
PCMark 2002 is an excellent benchmark
utility that measures and makes a diagnosis of your computer’s performance
under home and office usage. Personally, I like PCMark 2002 as it
provides consistent results throughout.
Next, we ran the CPU & Memory benchmarks
from PCMark 2002.
The CPU Benchmark runs the following tests:
JPEG decompression
Zlib compression & decompression
Text search
MP3 Audio Conversion
3D Vector Calculation

As you can see above, CPU performance is
excellent. CPU Score was 6327 & Memory score was
5307. We ran memory at CAS 2 "Ultra Mode".
Winbench 99:

Winbench results were not as impressing but
I did not run the drive in a RAID configuration. I'm sure scores
would be much higher. I'm waiting for the Serial ATA Hard Drives to
come out so I can run these test in a Serial ATA/RAID configuration. |
