The
keyboard plugged up just fine, and I was shocked to see how bright this thing
is! For comparison, I’ve included a picture of this unit next to two other
illuminated keyboards that use electroluminescent technology. Each key has its
own LED, so the panel lights up like a Christmas tree. Good thing you have
that on/off switch! The number pad has the “phone sensitive” lights in it, and
has both blue and white LEDs. I was only able to get it to function at boot
up, and at seemingly random intervals. It didn’t appear to work well with my
Sprint PCS Sanyo SCP-4900 phone. I did include a video of the start up light
show that the keyboard does.

The
action is a little stiff on the keys…I found that on occasion the key would
kink ever so slightly and the keystroke would not register. There are also a
few keys that are not labeled correctly…for example, there’s a pound symbol
instead of a hash on the “3” key, and the @ and “ symbols are reverse from
their usual spots. The tilde is also gone, replaced by something resembling a
horizontal “L”. Overall construction is pretty solid.
