XTracPads Ripper XL Performance Mouse Pad

Model:  Ripper XL

Manufacturer:  XtracPads

Provider:  XtracPads

Reviewed By:  Tom

Like any self respecting geek, I enjoy a good frag fest every now and then. I’m not what you would call a hard core or professional player, but I certainly spend more time blowing up polygons than is healthy. So, when XTrac Pads wrote me an email asking what the biggest mouse pad I’d ever seen was, of course I was interested! They graciously sent out their latest, dubbed the Ripper XL. Think tee shirts…or the size of your favorite tankard of caffeine, and you get the idea. This pad is definitely big enough to ensure you’ll never have to pick your mouse up to re-center it during a match again!

Packaging & Contents

The Ripper XL was shipped in one of those large cardboard tubes with plastic caps that small posters usually arrive in.

Sliding out the contents, we have one massive mouse pad and a small package of Mad Dotz, XTrac’s solution to non slippery mouse feet. XTrac certainly was not joking when they said the Ripper XL was big…the thing was easily bigger than the display on my monitor. The Ripper XL is fairly plain considering some of the stuff that comes through our labs, with only a relatively conservative but sharp looking graphic down the right side. The cloth top has a good feel to it, and the pad also has rubber backing to help prevent sliding.
