Conclusions

TekNmotion's Pulsar SX Gaming Headset is easily
the best headset I've used, whether being used for gaming or as a
replacement for my MP3 player's included ear buds. It performed exceedingly
well on everything I tried it on, including games, music, television shows,
and movies. I would be remiss in recommending it wholeheartedly, though, due
to the installation problems I experienced. However, after forwarding
my otherwise unpleasant experience in this particular area, the company was
quick to respond, providing a more definitive answer and some sense of
closure and/or comfort in regards to the software the drivers...
Addendum - Jason Williams, Product
Development Manager at TekNMotion, had this to say when informed of the
issues I experienced while installing the PulsarSX software: "We're sorry to
hear about the inconvenience , but we stand by our claim that our drivers
are safe and completely benign in their design. Of course, any complaints
about driver conflicts will be thoroughly investigated by our development
team." I can only reiterate what I already said in the review, which is that
the drivers installed first time with no problems on a fresh install of
Windows XP.
If you happen to be in the market for a headset,
you could do a whole lot worse than choosing this one. On a
price/performance ratio, the Pulsar SX is second-to-none. EMHz
Recommended.
