“Gaming headsets.” If you've seen and heard of
one, you've seen and heard them all, right? Well, not if TekNmotion has
anything to say about it. I've read and heard many arguments from people who
believe that branding a vanilla set of headsets with labels such as
“gaming”, “hardcore”, etc. is a sure-fire way for companies to make some
serious coin by relying on the naivety of the consumer. That's a real shame,
because once in a while a headset such as the Pulsar SX comes along and
knocks your socks off.

Upon opening the typically nondescript shipping
box from TekNmotion, I was alarmed to see that the headset package had been
crammed into a box that was just a little too small for it to be shipped in.
Once I was able to persuade the shipping box to give up its contents, I was
pleasantly surprised at how professional the product box looked. There's
something to be said about first impressions – they last, and it's clear
that a lot of thought has gone into the packaging of this headset.
