Hence my most recent camera review on the
excellent SX1 IS from Canon, it is clear I'm a hardcore fan of their cameras
and this clearly shows with each and every new release. Just when you
think you own a Canon camera you are likely to be happy with for years, they
manage to release a new model that is just too enticing not to upgrade.
This is clearly the case with their excellent PowerShot Series and there
is absolutely no doubt they offer the most appealing point & shoot cameras
on the market today. One of their latest, the 12.1 megapixel SD940 IS is certainly no
exception.

The new SD940 IS ships in a pretty small box
and that's because it is truly a remarkably small, feature-packed camera.
Included in the box is a battery charger, battery pack (NB-4L), AV Cable,
USB interface cable, wrist wrap and software CD.

What's important to note about this new model is
its support for HD videos. With that said, it does manage to squeeze
in a mini HDMI port for playback. However, don't expect a cable to be
included. All you'll get is a standard USB interface cable and video
cable.
For those who are avid fans of their ELPH series,
you'll be pleased to know that the battery and charger remains the same.
This means you can use any of your extra NB-4L battery packs and even
have an extra charger on hand.
