Conclusions

The new AeroCool PowerWatch brings some
innovative features to the table that will impress a majority in terms of a
design standpoint. For one, the bright color display is a welcomed
addition and not one you'd expect to find on a front bay accessory.
Second, it offers you a great deal of functionality, including the ability
to connect power-hungry devices via special PowerUSB cables and a 25-in-1
card reader.
However, the product is certainly not without its share of flaws.
During testing, I was not only extremely frustrated, but disappointed as
well. Quality was my first issue, and one that most potential buyers
should take note of. The temp probes on this product are, short and
simple...garbage! They are of poor quality and likely to break on
you before you even get a chance to install them properly. Needless to
say, they are also highly unreliable and if your an avid overclocker, I
would definitely not rely heavily on them either. Also, I was quite
shocked to find that the PowerUSB cables were indeed optional. I only
discovered this after the product was already on its way to me for review.
Considering just how difficult it is to acquire them, and taking its high
price tag into consideration, I strongly feel they should have been
included. Attempting to acquire them for from the company for proper
testing was a complete waste of time as well. You should note that I
also contacted them on the issues I was having but never received a
response. Purely frustrating and highly unprofessional on their part.
Bottom line...
Its quality simply does not justify its price
tag. Unless you're one of those who craves individuality and must have
the latest and greatest accessory installed to make your system standout
from the rest, this product is not
the one for you. For those of you who still decide to purchase it, you must be
extremely careful when installing the product to avoid damage to the temp
probes. The poor quality temp sensors will likely result in
damage to one or more, causing much headache to figure out exactly what went
wrong. I spent too much time with this product just trying to isolate
these issues. The PowerWatch was acquired for review because it truly did
impress in terms of the features it does bring to the table. However,
this is one of the very few products I've looked at that truly did
disappoint on many levels and was more than frustrating to review.

Yes, although PowerUSB is one of its main features, it was actually listed
under "Cons" only because it is purely just a gimmick and the expensive
and hard to find cables are optional and not even bundled with the product.
Unless you crave a bay accessory with a large color display, this is one product
that is certainly not worth your hard earned cash.
