ExtremeMhz has looked at a number of LCD
displays in the past; however all of these were from Matrix Orbital. Today
we’re going to break out of the one vendor mold and check out a new LCD
display from Korea’s VL System. Although the L.I.S. POP breaks no new
technological ground it does provide a potential competitor to the generally
high priced Matrix Orbital displays, and even VL Systems already popular L.I.S.
2 Blue Eye and thus is certainly worth checking out. The L.I.S. POP is geared
towards the A/V geeks out there, who want more flashy blue goodness on the
front of their systems without going broke!
Packaging &
Contents
The
L.I.S. POP LCD comes in a pretty flashy box; the propaganda leaves no doubt
that this one is intended for the A/V crowd.

Inside the box we have the LCD itself, a power cable, Manual, Driver Disk, and
Serial Data cable. I was a little less than pleased to see that I was going to
have to run this big wire out the back of my computer, but at least it had a
lot of length.

The
display itself has a clean look, and since it is controlled entirely by
software there’s not a button or switch to be seen. The two connectors on the
back are for the data and power cables.
