One component that has changed quite a
bit in terms of both aesthetics and performance is the Power Supply.

modders, but also to those looking to build an ultra quiet system. QTechnology, known for their ultra quiet PSU's,
is one company dedicated to providing consumers with quality, low noise
power supply units. Many
system builders may recall the name Papst as they are one of the top names in
cooling fans for many enthusiasts. The new Papst series PSU from QTechnology,
is equipped with a large high-end Papst 12cm cooling fan designed for
quiet operation without compromising cooling performance. Let's take a closer look at
their 460W version, the QT-03460G.

For a PSU, it certainly does come in an
attractive retail box. Included with the power supply, are some
installation screws and a user manual. Our sample contained a power
cable with a european style plug but you can use any power cable you have
lying around along with it.

This is, by far, the most attractive power
supply I've had the pleasure to review. The finish on this unit is
outstanding. The best way I can describe it is "Black Ice", after one
of Zippo's most popular lighters on their 2004 catalog. The finish is
almost identical as we show you above. Its design is fairly the same as that found on the
Super Flower 14cm PSU we reviewed a while back.
