The PAC 400 consists of two separate pieces, one
being the cooling unit itself and one being the 5.25" bay adapter to slide the
unit into place. Let's take a closer look at both.

The bay adapter features a bay cover that simply
tilts back when the unit is inserted. A locking mechanism is also in
place to lock the unit in place. A standard 4-pin molex connector is
used for power. There are some things you should note regarding its
power consumption which we will get to a bit later. There is a blue
connector on the rear of the bay adapter that lines up perfectly with the
cooling unit.

The cooling unit is rather large and consists of
the thermoelectric chip, large aluminum heatsink and two fans. On the
front of the unit is a small LCD with blue backlight that displays the
temperature of the air being pushed through the unit. There are two fans,
both of which are not very quiet. One is located on the bottom front as
an intake and one is on the top of the aluminum heatsink which only functions
in "Snow" mode. (we'll get to that later).
