Creative bundles the popular
Playcenter 3 software which most of you are already familiar with from
Creative's SoundBlaster series Soundcards and other
creative MP3 players. Personally, I'm
not a big fan of their software so in this review, I will be focusing on a
great third-party application for all Nomad players. But first,
let's take a quick look at what creative bundles with the Zen:

Now I would like to show you a third-party application that I would highly
recommend to Nomad users. Notmad Explorer by
Red Chair
Software. It is a nice small utility that will allow
you to transfer and manage your music and data files with ease.
Notmad Explorer
Notmad Explorer integrates with Windows
Explorer and allows quick and easy access to your Nomad Zen or any Nomad
player by Creative. It's small yet powerful and not resource hungry
like Playcenter 3 software.
Notmad explorer adds a device icon on your
systray for quick access to your Nomad Zen. Simply plug in your
Nomad Zen and double-click on the icon to initiate transfer mode and get
access to the files on your device.
Notmad Explorer also allows editing of your
ID3 tags directly from files on your Nomad Zen as shown above.
