Installation & Testing

The Noisetaker AX 2.0 was installed on my main system, as outlined in the table below. The chassis, the NZXT Nemesis Elite, made the replacement of the power supply a royal pain for the very reasons I mentioned in my review earlier this month.

Processor

Intel

Pentium 4 3.0C

Motherboard

Asus

IC7-MAX3

RAM

Corsair

TWINX4000Pro

Video Card

Powercolor

Radeon 9800 256M

Hard Drive(s)

Western Digital

3x Caviar 200Gig SATA

Audio Card

Testing consisted of loading the system with Prime95, Folding@home, and the SiSoft SANDRA burn in wizard. This was done for several hours, and the individual rails were checked with Motherboard Monitor 5 to ensure the proper tolerances. So, with no further ado, let’s check out the numbers!

**Idle**

**Load**

The only movement was on Core 0 and on the heavily used +12V rail. Considering the load, this is hardly a twitch.
