Conclusions

Considering the
quality and attention to detail Razer puts forth in its products, I've had
my eye on these speakers since they were first officially introduced over a
year ago. Finally, after some delay, these speakers have hit the
market and after given the pleasure to review them, found there
was indeed a reason why I was so eager to give them a try.
Starting with quality, these speakers are
clearly designed to impress and you'll immediately notice this upon
un-boxing. From its contemporary style, to its unique speaker cables and
high-tech control pod,
its overall level of quality will certainly impress and they are beyond what you'd expect from
such a product. The large, touch-sensitive control pod is both a
pleasure to the eyes and it is to use. After carefully evaluating this
product, there were no corners cut in terms of quality and certainly justifies its hefty price tag.
In terms of installation, it just couldn't get
any easier and they are designed in such a way that they are practically
fool-proof. This is a result of the unique, proprietary design of both
the cables and connectors.
Finally and most importantly, its sound
quality is superb and beyond what you'd expect from a 2.1 system. In
the end, it was a number of its exclusive features that helped provide such
impressive sound. Its downward firing, omnidirectional speaker design
provided room-filling sound that your average 2.1 speaker system simply cannot
offer. In fact, other than one older but powerful 2.1 system from Logitech,
these are by far, the best sounding 2.1 speakers I've had the pleasure of
using. Its total power will also rattle you and they are easily a
better option over a cheap, low-watt 5.1 solution. In fact, the only major
negative during evaluation was one particular angry neighbor, who
knocked on my door when playing Massive Attack's "Teardrop" quite loud at
10:45PM during testing. It handled all tests with ease and with some tweaking here and
there, managed to reproduce sound that was significantly better than mostly
all
systems I've owned or used in the past. However, note that in order to
take advantage of its quality sound, you must pair them with a quality sound
card as well. Built-in audio solutions may not yield such impressive
results and if you can spend this much money on a set of 2.1 speakers, you
should already own or be able to spend extra on a decent soundcard.
A perfect blend of style, innovation and
performance, these high-quality speakers break the norm of conventional
speaker design and are built to impress impress. Highly Recommended!
