  Even though Logisys Computer has been a sponsor for ExtremeMhz for a long time, on occasion they have still managed to throw me a curve ball. If you would have asked me last month what the next product Logisys would come out with, the very last item on my list would have been a heat sink! Their first offering is a solid copper video card cooler, designed to be compatible with the majority of video cards currently on the market. Let’s take a look!

The “One for All” VGA Cooler was shipped in a nice plastic retail box…getting it open was a bit of a beast, but be careful not to mangle the cardboard sleeve too much as the instructions are printed on the inside.

Aside from the massive VGA cooler and a pile of 8 RAM heatsinks, there was a small bag with the hardware needed to mount the cooler. This included two brackets, two screws, a pair of stand offs, thermal grease, and some thermal pads to mount the RAM heatsinks.

This heatsink is going to get noticed in a windowed case…it’s almost as big as some CPU coolers we have seen. The sine wave like shape of the fins promises maximum surface area to transfer heat off of your hardworking GPU. Power is provided by way of a three pin header, which is pretty long all things considered. Taking good pictures of this cooler was a bit of a challenge given its very reflective surface. The actual contact plate is covered with a piece of plastic to make sure that it stays as clean as possible. I took the opportunity to plug in the VGA cooler to see how loud the fan was. It is a bit loud, but we’ll have to see if it can be heard through the side of a computer case.
