Logisys Optical Fan Mouse Review

Model:  MS802BK

Manufacturer:  Logisys

Provider:  Logisys

Reviewed By:  Miguel

It seems that every effort is taken by companies in order to satisfy all PC users, especially power users and gamers.  While we haven't really seen a trend in input devices with built-in fans, there are still a few companies that certainly want to target these users with some rather unique products.  Logisys Computer, a fast-growing company targeting the PC enthusiast, is always in search of ways to please a wider range of users.  They are one of the few to release a mouse with a built-in fan to cool those sweaty palms during extensive computing and/or gaming sessions.  The new Logisys optical fan mouse is and inexpensive and cleverly designed mouse primarily designed for ultimate comfort.  Let's have a closer look...

The Logisys fan mouse comes in pretty standard packaging.  No driver disk needed as it will support both PS/2 and USB connections.

This new mouse certainly features the most attractive design I've seen yet on an optical mouse.  Its two-tone silver/black color will compliment a majority of setups well and the vent holes are not only designed to let air through, but certainly add to its overall futuristic design.  I particularly like the extra large scroll wheel.  It is both comfortable and smooth.  The bottom of the mouse looks fairly standard, with the exception of the fan vents for intake.

As with the previous fan mouse we reviewed, it features an on/off switch for the fan located on the lower right side of the mouse.

Its exterior is also much more appealing and much better quality than the previous Xenix fan mouse we looked at.  The felt padded buttons on the Xenix were certainly a dust magnet and did not really serve a puporse.
