  Every PC enthusiast or case modder is always in search of new and exciting ways to modify or make their cases uniquely appealing.  Many companies currently offer a wide variety of case mod accessories to satisfy just about everyone in the growing case modding community.  ExtremeMhz is always looking out for new and unique products to compliment your system.   Laserbay Ltd, a UK based company,  provides such a product.   The Laserbay is a personalized lighted PC bay insert available in a variety of colors.  This is truly a one of a kind product with amazing looks that will have your buddies saying "Wow...How did you do that?"

Our laserbay arrived in a small yet well packaged box labeled "Fragile" to ensure it would arrive undamaged.   That is exactly what we got.   Included with the Laserbay is an instruction sheet (including pictures) and 4 installation screws.

The bay insert itself is made of hard plastic.   The project box which houses the LED's is made of a thin sheet of white plastic and is covered by another piece which is glued on top of it.   Although this thin plastic may look a bit odd, it is all put together quite nicely.  The front of the project box houses three ultra bright LED's.   The color is clearly marked with a sticker.   Our sample came with blue LED's.  The power cable is nice and long and has a molex plug so you can easily connect it to your PSU.

The letters are neatly cut into the front panel which is roughly 11.5mm thick and is available in black or beige.  We were not provided information as to exactly what process is used to cut the lettering.  You can order a laserbay with your choice of up to 11 letters or numbers (including spaces).   They can only be in upper case and the style of the lettering will be like the one your are seeing in these pictures.   The available characters are as follows:

For the best possible lighting effect, the front panel containing the cutouts is mounted on front of what seems to be a thin clear plastic layer so that the LED's will shine evenly across all characters rather than having the light shine right through the characters.   The picture to your right is one taken of the back side of the Laserbay while powered on.  You can see how the light is equally distributed across all the characters.  A very nice touch.
