Koolance PC2-650 Watercooled Server Case Review

Model:  PC2-650BK

Manufacturer:  Koolance

Provider: PCPowerZone

When in search of the best cooling solution for your system, watercooling is usually not an option for many due to its high price tag and sometimes troublesome installation. A few companies, however, offer complete water-cooling kits at an affordable price. Koolance has taken this a step further by offering a complete line of cases with custom watercooling kits pre-installed that are quite easy to setup.  They have made quite a name for themselves in the Enthusiast market thanks to their high performance & affordable water-cooled cases and kits. Unfortunately, the first generation cases themselves where not quite that appealing. For many, this is an important feature now-a-days and that is why Koolance has re-designed their case to appeal to case modders. Today, we look at their next gen watercooled case, the PC2-650.  Sporting a revolutionary new design, this setup is sure to turn heads.

The heavy box arrived undamaged.  Included with the case is a user manual, small funnel, extra PVC tubing, coolant pack, drive rails, bag of installation hardware and a ATX power jumper cable.  Keep in mind that the case comes with everything you need excluding the actual waterblocks.  We will look at the optional waterblocks in detail a bit later in this review.

The case is made of high quality steel and is quite heavy.  The front features a new highly appealing circuit board design with blue lighting which we will show in action a bit later in the review.  The side panel features a nice-sized window with a Koolance etching near the bottom.  Thumb screws are included on only one of the side panels.  The rear of the case reveals the two 80mm fan mounts for those who wish to install additional fans.
