Ever wanted to change those dull boring green
LED's on your keyboard? Maybe just for looks or to match that modded
Case? Well, we'll show you how. It's fairly easy and with
some minor soldering skills, you can have this mod done in just a few
minutes. First, let's take this baby
apart!

Once you have opened it up, you
should see a small circuit board that holds your LED's as shown below...

See those boring green LED's?
Well if we turn the circuit board over, you should see the solder points for
each LED.

Next, take your soldering Iron
and a desoldering tool (sometimes called a solder sucker) and remove the LED's
by heating the solder points and using the sucker to remove the solder.
You should now be able to pull the LED off the circuit board. Then
simply insert the new LED (remember where the positive goes) and cut the
excess ends of the LED's. Then take your soldering iron and carefully
solder each pin to the board. That's it! Your done.
Some pics of the end result...

Notice I kept one of the green
LED's on the board. This is only because I had two blue LED's left! :(
It won't matter as the green one is for Scroll Lock which I never use.
You can use any color you like and mix and match if you want.
OK. So how do they look??

Lights off!!

Nice! The LED's I used are super bright. See the difference in intensity
with the standard green LED?
There you have it. A
fairly simple mod.
