Juster DHT-918C 5.1 Speaker Set

Conclusions

Well, we’ve got a pretty good spread of strengths and weaknesses here, but with a budget setup it is really difficult to have everything. The 918C sells for $52.95 at Compgeeks, and as far as 5.1 systems go that’s about average. It’s certainly good looking, and provides a fairly good sound quality. I didn’t like the subwoofer setup, and the system could definitely use some longer cables for the front speakers (or some RCA extension cables, but that’s going to cost extra). The tall subwoofer and short cables will limit your installation options, but the remote will make up for that a little. I would recommend these speakers to anyone looking for 5.1 gaming speakers…they will fit that bill nicely!

Pros Cons
  • Not Expensive
  • Decent Sound
  • Easy Setup
  • Short Front Wires
  • Issues with high frequencies
  • Poor satellite base design
