Black PS/2 illuminated Keyboard with On/Off Switch

Introduction

A while back, we review the high-tech EluminX Keyboard and were impressed with its stunning looks and innovative high quality design.  There were a couple of drawbacks such as its price tag and the exclusion of an on/off button.  Knowing that a similar product would be available soon after, we began searching for an alternative for those on a budget that hopefully would include an on/off switch.  Well, we found one available at Eagle Computer.  How does it compare to the EluminX?   Let's find out!

The keyboard comes in a very plain white box that contains no logos or labels of any kind.  The keyboard itself also does not contain any logos or labels.  A very generic product indeed.

Quick Comparison

Before we take a closer look at this keyboard, let's do a quick comparison against the EluminX.   The first thing you'll notice is that this keyboard is significantly smaller in overall size than the EluminX yet is still manages to have all 106 keys!  Another thing you'll quickly notice is the color of the keys.  They are white and not as clear like the ones found on the EluminX.  We'll see how it affects the lighting of the keys a bit later.
