Coolermaster Hyper 6 Heat Pipe CPU Cooler Review

Conclusions

This is one impressive heatsink, both in size and performance. The big catch is that the size of this monster limits the motherboards that it can be installed on as well as portability. If not for that, the Hyper 6 would have gotten our “Extreme Excellence” award. Even so, if you have the space and you want to really overclock with an air-cooled solution, definitely check out the Coolermaster Hyper 6. This heatsink has not hit the retail shelves yet, but I’m told that the going price should be about $50. Certainly on the high end as CPU coolers go, but you’re definitely going to get a great P4/K8 CPU cooler!

For more information on this product, check out the Coolermaster website.

Pros Cons
  • Very powerful air-cooled solution
  • Solid construction
  • Flexible installation options
  • Difficult install
  • Not very portable
