Conclusions

I am very impressed with the Freezer
4…Arctic-Cooling has managed to seriously upgrade performance without
sacrificing their legendary silence. Installation of this heatsink is simple
and quick, even though the mechanism is rather scary looking. This is a tall
heatsink, so clearance may be an issue with your particular install. It may
also interfere with tall Northbridge coolers as well. The Freezer 4 did not
mess with the OTES system on the IC7 MAX3, which is always a plus in my book!
One of the things that have changed with this new heatsink is a significantly
higher price tag considering most of Arctic-Cooling’s units are less than 20
dollars. This is understandable given all the extra size and copper. The
Freezer 4 retails for just a hair over $30.00 USD, which does place it well
under some of its main competitors. EM Recommended!
