Silverstone FP53 HDD "Cool Driver" Review

Conclusions

If you’ve got the spare 5.25” bay, the SST-FP53 will make an excellent choice for an HDD cooler. The only problem I had with the device was that getting the screws back into the cooler to close it was not very easy, as there is limited space to hold the screw in the hole while you try and tighten it. Fit and finish of this unit is of the usual high quality that we’ve seen from Silverstone’s products in the past. This is a device that will give you years of use. The Silverstone SST-FP53 is available in both a black and silver finish for about $30 USD. EM Recommended!

Pros Cons
  • Easy & simple install
  • Quiet
  • Cools HDD well
  • Screw holes on bottom are not easy to access
