When I first heard about this case, I just had
to get my hands one as I've been patiently waiting to see which company
would jump the gun and release a case with fans larger than 120mm. When it comes to PC cases,
all manufacturers have really hit a standstill in terms of providing better
air cooling. While 120mm fans paired with a superbly designed case can
indeed provide sufficient cooling for overclocking, it is still not as good
as many of the other alternatives out there. AeroCool apparently knows
this and is why they have designed their new ExtremEngine 3T. With a
name like that, you'd expect something worthy of its chosen name right?
Well, AeroCool is officially the first company to release a case with not
only one but two larger fans capable of moving plenty of air! The new
ExtremEngine 3T sports a 140mm fan on the front and a impressively large
250mm fan mounted on its side panel for the best possible air cooling
solution on the market.

I don't like to go into detail when it comes to
packaging of the samples I receive. However, I do make an exception
when it comes to cases only because of the bad luck I've had over the past
several years. Fortunately, Xoxide, who kindly sponsored this review,
does ship their cases double-boxed. The ExtremEngine arrived undamaged
but the case itself doesn't offer much. In fact, the only thing you'll
find when you open it up is a bag-o-hardware taped to the bottom of the
case. They provide just the right amount of hardware screws and
standoff too. No
extras here!
Design - A quick glance
The new ExtremEngine 3T comes in black or silver
and I would like to start off saying that the paint job on the case is
exceptional and the best I've seen in a while. It is a think layer and
is quite scratch-resistant.

The left side panel is where you'll find the
massive 250mm fan for maximum cooling. The right side is uneventful,
except for some air vents on the bottom.

The front is honestly the most appealing feature
of this particular case. It features not only the large "jet
engine-like" 140mm fan, but also sports a impressive fan controller and full
aluminum front "doors" that work well via some magnets. The back of
the chassis is fairly standard, except of the rear exhaust panel which will
support either two 80mm fans or one 120mm fan for maximum cooling.
