Not too long ago we got to take a look at the
new Razer Viper, a 1000 dpi high performance laser mouse. Looking at the list
that Razer gave for that particular mouse, it was clear that Razer also had
high standards for the surface one uses with the Viper. Logically, that makes
a lot of sense…could you see hooking up a set of generic speakers to a Carver
amp or putting budget tires on a Ferrari? Even if you don’t own a Viper, as
long as you have a 700-800 dpi mouse there’s no reason to have a cheap cloth
mousepad. With that in mind, Razer has recently released the eXactMat…is it as
good as the Viper? Let’s take a test drive…

The
Viper came with its own carrying case, and the eXactMat is no different. The
neoprene carrying case does not have pockets or loops like the Viper’s did,
but it’s certainly a slick way to keep your pad from getting damaged or
scratched while on the move. Our sample is one of the ‘Limited Edition’ first
run, complete with a signed certificate and limited edition logo on the carry
case.
