Silverstone quickly hit the spotlight with their high-end cases that in some
cases, are unmatched in terms of overall quality. This was certainly
apparent when visiting their super impressive booth at this year's CES with
Tom.
They haven't been around for long, but they are already venturing into other
PC related products, including audio. The product I'll be looking at
today is their first audio product that was featured at CES and is targeted
at those looking to build a quality home theater system. The EB01 is
an elegantly designed USB digital to analog converter capable of providing
quality stereo sound.

The
EB01 ships in a fairly appealing box and includes an illustrated instruction
manual, USB cable and RCA Y cable that will allow you to easily connect the
unit to a variety of audio components, including headphones. All
cables, including USB have gold plated leads.
Design

When it comes to any product that Silverstone does put out, build quality is
the last thing you'll need to worry about. The EB01 is primarily made
of quality brushed aluminum and is quite pleasing to look at. They
always go out of their way to make their products as unique as possible,
right down to the bold curvy design of the EB01 and their super imrpessive
new Temjin TJ07 that is constructed using automotive machinery. When
it comes to build quality and design, not corners are cut and is why I
respect them highly.

The front features two status LED's,
illuminated in blue to indicate power and play functions. On the rear
of the unit, you'll find two RCA out jacks and your USB port. Overall,
the EB01 is designed to blend in well with today's high-end home theater
setups and is also available in silver.
