PC
Mark 2002
CPU
and Memory Benchmarks:

**200FSB**

**250FSB**
All
scores were surprisingly lower than those of the Abit IC7-G with the exception
of the memory benchmarks under maximum OC. I verified this by running
the tests more than once but was not able to achieve higher scores than the
Abit IC7-G. This is why we like to provide you with results using
different benchmarking tools.
PC
Mark Crunch Tests:
These
Crunch Tests consist of a total of 3 different test that are run
simultaneously in order to measure how well the system can handle
multi-tasking. They include a CPU test, memory test and video card memory
test which focuses on the memory bandwidth and AGP bus.

Unlike our PC Mark CPU and Memory tests, the Crunch Test scores were
substantially higher than those of the
Abit IC7-G.
SATA Bench Tests
Being
that the Soyo Dragon 2 Platinum offers a wide array of storage options, we
decided to provide some SATA tests as well. Besides, we were testing the
board using the fastest SATA drive currently available on the market, the
Western Digital Raptor.
We
will be using HD Tach and ATTO Disk Benchmark to measure SATA performance
under standard configuration.
HDTack 2.70

Scores were very impressive. In
fact, the Raptor outperformed our IBM 36Z15 15K RPM SCSI hard drive. The
maximum read speed achieved was 79.1MB/s with an average of 50.3MB/s.
ATTO Disk Benchmark

The results here just blew me away in comparison
to our 15K IBM SCSI drive. Our write test showed an incredibly high
92274. Our read tests were also quite high, coming in at 46374.
Keep in mind that these SATA results were done
using a standard one drive configuration. Set this motherboard up
in a RAID configuration and the results should be astonishing.
