Performance

To measure performance, we will be using both Sandra 2004 and PC Mark 2002.  Test results will be given at stock speed and maximum OC.  The following configuration will be used for testing:

Processor: Intel P4 2.8Ghz (800Mhz)
Memory: Corsair TwinX1024-4000Pro
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9600
Hard Drive: Western Digital Raptor 36GB SATA (10K RPM)
Operating System: Windows XP Professional
Cooling: Stock Intel Cooling + Arctic Silver 5

Sandra 2004

CPU Arithmetic Benchmark:

**200FSB**

Results

Dhrystone ALU: 8398

Whetstone FPU/iSSE2: 3535/6197

**250FSB**

Results

Dhrystone ALU: 10570

Whetstone FPU/iSSE2: 4410/7723

Excellent scores achieved under maximum OC.  Since we were able to overclock it higher than the Abit IC7-G, we were able to achieve slightly higher scores.

CPU Multi-Media Benchmark:

**200FSB**

Results

Integer iSSE2: 21392

Float iSSE2: 31091

**250FSB**

Results

Integer iSSE2: 26686

Float iSSE2: 38762

Again, we see some very impressive numbers under maximum OC.  Blew away the 3.2GHz reference system by a substantial margin.

Memory Bandwidth Benchmark:

**200FSB**

Results

Int Buffered: 4531

Float Buffered: 4558

**250FSB**

Results

Int Buffered: 5901

Float Buffered: 5901

This Dragon 2 shines in our memory tests thanks to its solid ability to run our Corsair memory at 500MHz.  Very impressive results.
