Performance
Since
we are reviewing a 64-bit motherboard, we have managed to obtain the necessary
tools to measure both 32-bit and 64-bit performance. We realize that a
64-bit Operating System isn't readily available yet to consumers so we will
include results in both environments. Results will be given both at
stock speed and maximum OC.
Before we begin, let's look at our test system specs:
| Processor: |
AMD Athlon64 3200+
|
| Memory: |
Corsair TwinX1024-4000Pro |
| Video Card: |
ATI Radeon 9600 SE |
| Hard Drive: |
IBM Ultrastar 36Z15 SCSI
Drive (15K RPM) |
| Operating System: |
Windows XP Professional
32-bit and 64-bit (beta) |
| Cooling: |

32-bit Tests
SANDRA 2004 32-bit CPU Arithmetic Benchmark:

**200FSB**
Results
Dhrystone ALU: 8581
Whetstone FPU/iSSE2:
3240/4233

**215FSB**
Results
Dhrystone ALU: 8893
Whetstone FPU/iSSE2:
3468/4529
SANDRA 2004 32-bit CPU Multi-Media Benchmark:

**200FSB**
Results
Integer iSSE2:
15329
Float iSSE2:
20241

**215FSB**
Results
Integer iSSE2: 16386
Float iSSE2: 21636
Multi-media scores were surprisingly low and is one of the benchmarks were the
Dragon Plus CK8 fails to impress.
SANDRA 2004 32-bit Memory Bandwidth Benchmark:

**200FSB**
Results
Int Buffered:
3116
Float Buffered:
3115

**215FSB**
Results
Int Buffered: 3302
Float Buffered: 3302
Overall, our 32-bit SANDRA results were not quite that impressive, especially
when compared to the Soyo Dragon 2 Platinum motherboard.
