Razer Diamondback 1600dpi Gaming Mouse Review

Conclusions

Wow…what a mouse! The Razer Diamondback is an impressively powerful device, and is certainly worthy of the name. The only real gripe I had was that the four side buttons are placed a little too far back to be really useful, but that’s it! I’ve taken this mouse out on the town a bit…everywhere from the IT labs on campus to the local LAN hangout and this chromatic green Diamondback has managed to draw a small crowd every time. This new model is more forgiving of the pad you use it on despite the increased dpi, and you will certainly have a killer setup if you pair this mouse up with the Razer eXactMat. If you are on the fence between the Viper and the Diamondback, I would definitely recommend the Diamondback. I will say that this might be too much mouse for the day to day user who does not really get into FPS gaming, but if you are this is definitely the mouse of choice. Retail price for the Diamondback is $60.00 USD, a scant ten dollars more than the Viper. Due to its gaming excellence, the Diamondback wins our “Extreme Excellence” award. We hope Razer keeps up the good work and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
