Things started off really good. In fact, the results here are very
impressive. Its transfer rate came just shy of 40x. What's really remarkable
here are the really low seek times and CPU usage. These are the lowest
I've seen out of all drives I've used or tested.

Although already quite low, the results using CDR media were even lower.
Maximum read speed again came just slightly shy of 40x.

With our CDRW media, we finally hit 40x and see even lower seek times.
This drive certainly does read CD media exceptionally well.
4. DAE - Advanced Quality Tests

The Optorite DD1203 also did exceptionally
well in our advanced digital audio extraction tests, passing all with flying
colors.
Overall, this drive excelled in our CD read
tests and handled media quite well. I wasn't expecting these results,
so this drive did make a good first impression. Let's see if it can do the
same for DVD media.
