Bundled Software
I prefer Nero Burning Rom but we will take a
look at what the included software has to offer.
B's Recorder GOLD5

B's Recorder GOLD5 is their CD/DVD burning
software. The software fully supports the Optorite DD0203
including HDBurn, however, we were unable to find any settings related to
the HDBurn recording method. Upon launching the application, you will see a
window prompting you to choose your desired task.
One of the available options is the ability to
"rip" a DVD. I was somewhat surprised to see this option. Usually you have to resort to third-party freeware tools to
properly rip DVD movies. You will be prompted with a warning before performing
this task.
B's GOLD5 does include some neat features such
as the ability to create an autoplay CD. This feature will include a
file that will automatically run when the CD/DVD is inserted in the drive.
It is similar to an "autorun.ini" file included in a majority of
CD's and DVD's.

Additional features include "Best CD" and "HD
Backup". The Best CD function will allow you to create a compilation CD
from multiple audio CD's. HD Backup will allow you to easily copy the
content from a hard drive or partition onto a CD or DVD. It can be created as a
bootable disk.
B's CLiP5
B's CLiP5 is their packet writing software.
When you install it, an icon will appear on your systray. You can
easily access functions by right-clicking on it.

The software will allow you to format your
re-writable media as well as perform a normal or quick erase.
