Razer Diamondback Plasma - Hottest Mouse on the Market?

Conclusions

After spending some quality time with this new mouse, I've finally found a somewhat worthy replacement for my trusty Logitech dual optical mouse.  While certainly not as comfortable, its tracking is absolutely superb.  However, every product certainly has its flaws, even though they are quite minor in this case.  With that said, I think some improvements can be made with the side buttons as well as the overall feel of the mouse.  The buttons, for one, are too noisy for my taste considering I'm quite used to much quieter mice.  Regardless, the Diamondback Plasma is stunning, both in terms of design and performance.  No company specializing in input devices is confident enough to put out such a unique product as the new Razer Plasma.  With its first ever infrared optical sensor, high-tech design and superior performance, Razer has done quite well at luring in even the most demanding computer users.  This is quite apparent based on the sheer volume at which these products do sell.  It may very well be considered the hottest mouse on the market.  Due to its highly innovative design and exceptional performance, it has once again earned our highest recommendation and "Extreme Excellence Award".

More information on the New Limited Edition Plasma can be found on Razer's Website.

Unfortunately though, Razer has had a hard time keeping up with demand.  By the time I finished this article, it is now out of stock and quite hard to find.  However,  I have been told Xoxide.com is expecting additional, but very limited, stock soon.  After all, it is a limited edition and production will be at its lowest.  Keep an eye on Xoxide for additional stock and feel free to enter in our Plasma giveaway.  Details below...

Pros Cons
  • Highest Performance
  • First ever infrared optical sensor
  • Highly Innovative Design
  • 7 programmable buttons
  • User-friendly software
  • Very limited Availability
  • Side buttons need improvement
  • Noisy buttons
  • Fairly expensive

Razer Diamondback Plasma Giveaway!

Our forums recently became victim to a malicious hacker.  Unfortunately, about 10 months of data was lost.  In an effort to help rebuild them, we are giving one of these beauties away, sponsored by Xoxide.  No, this is not the review sample.  It is full retail model that will be shipped directly from the kind folks at Xoxide.com.  Yes, while they are currently out of stock, they have kindly reserved one of these for one loyal EMHz reader!  Unfortunately, this time around, only US residents are eligible to win.  Registering for the giveaway is quite simple.  Simply register in our forums  and answer two simple questions in the this thread.  A winner will be randomly selected on July 8th.  The winner will be announced on our homepage on or before 12pm eastern time July 8th.  Xoxide will immediately be notified and product will be shipped out to the address provided.
