Coolermaster Cavalier 1 Mid Tower Chassis Review

Model:  CAV-T01

Manufacturer:  Coolermaster

Provider:  Coolermaster

Reviewed By:  Tom

One of the more interesting trends of ATX case manufacture over the last few years has been the slow death of beige computer cases. We all know this, it’s been pretty obvious. So, what is the next step? Cooler Master’s approach has been to start rounding out those sharp lines to create flowing cases that border on art. Today I’ll be looking at one of the more visually striking members of Cooler Master’s lineup – the CAV-T01 Cavalier.

Packaging and Contents

Our test sample arrived in great shape…no pun intended!

The packaging was definitely ready for a retail shelf, and outlined clearly the various features and color of the Cavalier 1 inside. The package included all the goodies needed to make the system functional – a bag of hardware, Audio PCI bracket for the VU dial, Manual, Power cable, spare PCI cover, Case badge, and 3.5mm audio patch cable.

I’ve read too many reviews where the reviewer seems to just be so enamored with the product in front of them that they are unable to objectively represent the item in question. So, I had to sit back a bit when I pulled this one out of the box…it has a very sleek style to it that I liked a lot! The Cavalier’s styling is almost retro – personally I thought it had the look of a classic car. Maybe not a Duesenberg, but definitely getting there!
