One thing that I’ve always missed when using
my PC is the visceral low frequency effects that a good stereo system can
bring to a performance. I’ve been spoiled with my home theater, which sports
a powered 15” sub matched with a set of main speakers that can go all the
way down to 20Hz - generally considered the low limit of human hearing. For
most computer speakers and certainly for headphones, this kind of experience
has long been out of reach. Never mind that that kind of volume is most
likely to make the odds of police showing up at your door pretty good.
Today, I get to check out the Buttkicker Gamer, a new product from
Buttkicker. This small device puts the bounce back in your lower
frequencies, enhancing the gaming experience. Let’s check it out!

I
can’t argue with the overall packaging…it was complete and nice enough to
look at. Moving along…

The package is thorough, providing enough wiring options to be able to hook
the
Buttkicker Gamer up to just about anything. There’s also a terse but
effective manual.
