BeanTech BT84 Clear Acrylic ATX Case - Continued

I will be showing lots of pics of the case so you can see for yourself the quality in craftsmanship.

Above we have shots of the front and side of the case.  Front features your power button, reset button and LED's as well as your multimedia ports.  The side view shows the removable side panel with the 80mm clear fan installed.  The case has a nice depth and should accommodate just about any board.

On the left, we have a close-up of the power/reset buttons and LED's.  They are nicely installed.  However, you may find it difficult to press the reset button with your fingers.  The countersunk holes on which the button rests may prevent you from doing so.  I don't particularly like these red buttons that almost all Clear cases seem to use but they function properly and serve their purpose.  The pic on the right is a close-up of the front multimedia ports.  You have 2 USB 2.0 and 1 Firewire port.

Above we have shots of the back.  There are 7 expansion slots.  I would have liked to see thumbscrews for the slots.  Similar to that found in our custom acrylic flagship case.  I do however, particularly like the I/O plate.  You can pop out the individual connector covers or do away with the whole plate all together.  The choice is yours but I do think it looks great with the plate attached.

The 2 pics above are to demonstrate the build quality of the case.  The edges are nice and smooth and cuts are even.  Overall, the case comes together quite nicely.

Although the drive cage on the BT84 is not removable,  it is well designed and the edges once again are nice an smooth.  The installed faceplates are held together by one screw on each side.

The fan holes on the case are not completely cut out.  Although these cuts look attractive, they definitely look like they will restrict airflow.  We will be checking it's cooling performance later in the review.   I don't know why they decided to include GOLD fan grills.  Personally, I'm not a fan of gold.  Adding gold grills to a completely clear fan on a completely clear case defeats its purpose and deviates from the "theme" of this type of setup.  The case looks great without them.  Of course this is not a major issue as you can simply remove them or replace them with silver ones.

Last but not least, I would like to show a couple of shots of the case wiring.  The motherboard cables are nicely wrapped in a clear cable wrap.  The USB and firewire extension cables are silver!  This was definitely a nice touch as most case modders nowadays use Silver rounded cables for their hard drive and floppy.  This definitely adds to the overall theme of the case.  The pic on the right is to show you the peizo speaker that is included and mounted on the case.
