Conclusions

The latest addition to their already impressive
and affordable
Strider Series is certainly an impressive one. Their new ST70F
adds a few features that will certainly appeal to most. The first
being the larger 135mm fan that truly does earn a spot in their line of
Silent power supplies. With credit to the rest of its design, its
cooling performance is excellent and truly does run whisper quiet. The
second noticeable feature is its fully modular design. This is always
a plus for many as it will not only simplify setup, but eliminate
unnecessary cable clutter by making use of only the cables you need.
Speaking of cables, almost all are fully sleeved and other than sporting
quad PCI-E 6-pin cables, they also include a 8-pin PCI-E cable, ensuring
support for the latest hardware on the market.
Its build quality is excellent, both inside and
out. Looking inside, you'll not only find high quality components, but
all are laid out and cooled effectively while managing to support such a large
fan in an enclosure that is roughly standard in size. As far as
overall performance goes, it performed very well for a unit in this class
and/or price range. All numbers were on the higher end of the spectrum at
all times and all tests conducted resulted in numbers that were well within
tolerance levels.
With a price tag of roughly $135, you get plenty
and certainly one the better options for those on the market for a PSU in
this price range. Its high quality, excellent design, quiet operation
and above average performance earns our recommendation.
