This
product “felt” very well built, and the knobs themselves have a great fit and
finish.
Testing
I cycled the display through its various functions, stopping to check the
readout with the displayed temps and RPMs on Motherboard Monitor 5 and my
Intel Active Monitor software. All three systems were very close to full
agreement. Admittedly MM5 and Active monitor use the same set of sensors, but
it was nice to discount any software errors.
Finally, I went and stuck a pen in my exhaust fan and the monitor came alive,
flashing a red display screen and beeping angrily. I think that’s a passing
score! This same alarm goes off if the temperature begins to move out of the
preset boundaries, and these limits are controllable by the user. Clearly this
device is capable of every task Super-Flower says it can.
Conclusions

The Super-Flower Fan Master is a great purchase.
With outstanding customization options and an excellent array of capabilities,
this device should definitely be on your list of options for a fan controller.
The only thing I could even think of to make this product better would to
allow the fan knob lights to change colors too, but having looked at the
device I’m sure an intrepid modder and his trusty soldering iron could swap
out those LEDs in a heartbeat. With a street price of about 28 to 34 dollars,
it is a bargain buy!
