Performance
For
performance testing, we used Sandra MAX3 and PC Mark 2002. First, let us
look at the test system:
| Processor: |
Ahtlon XP 1800+ @ 1780MHz |
| Video: |
onboard |
| Memory: |
384MB Generic DDR RAM |
| Hard Drive: |
Western Digital 40GB |
| Cooling: |
OEM AMD Heatsink/Fan |

CPU Arithmetic
Benchmark

The
Dhrystone/Whetstone scores were 6636/2696. We compared it to other
Athlon XP processors and as you can see, our 1800+ outperformed the 2000+
reference system and almost matched the scores of the 2200+ reference system.
CPU Multi-Media Benchmark

Integer/Float scores were 9561/10492.
Again we see similar results when comparing against other XP processors.
Memory Bandwidth Benchmark

Memory scores were 1257/1223. The KM2M
Combo-L supports PC2100 DDR memory. Results were based on generic PC2100
DDR and we used other PC2100 references for comparison.
PCMark 2002
PCMark 2002 is an excellent benchmark
utility that measures and makes a diagnosis of your computer’s performance
under home and office usage.
The CPU Benchmark runs the following tests:
JPEG decompression
Zlib compression & decompression
Text search
MP3 Audio Conversion
3D Vector Calculation

CPU/Memory scores were 4391/2188. Keep in
mind that this board only supports PC2100 DDR so results should be compared
against similar memory modules.
