The MSI KM2M Combo-L carries the Award "Plug &
Play" BIOS which provides a Desktop Management Interface (DMI) which records
your mainboard specifications and automatically detects your devices.
The Advanced BIOS Menu allows you to setup features such as your boot order,
enable CPU L2 cache and ECC checking, floppy seek and security options.

The Advanced Chipset Menu will give you access
to your memory and video settings. DRAM options include your DRAM clock
speed, timing and CAS Latency options. As we mentioned, the KM2M Combo-L
comes with integrated video, however, the AGP menu will allow you to make changes
in case you do install an AGP video card. The KM2M uses 32MB of
shared memory for the integrated video. While not recommended if using
the onboard video, you do have the option of setting your shared memory size
below 32MB.

Power
management features include common options such as sleep state, HDD power
down, suspend mode and power button function. The Frequency/Voltage
Control Menu will allow you to adjust your CPU clock speed. CPU clock
can be set anywhere from 133 to 154. The spread spectrum can be adjusted
as well.
Overclocking
Considering this MicroATX board is not targeted for overclockers, it still
offers some nice overclocking features. For testing, we tried to achieve
the highest stable clock speed. We were able to take an Athlon XP
1800+ to the boards maximum clock rate of 154 without any problems whatsoever.
Very nice considering we were using generic DDR RAM!

We were able to run an Athlon XP 1800+ at the
speed of a 2100+ processor. You can also see above how the shared memory
is shown in the POST memory check.
