Board Layout

Everything is nicely laid out on a very
pleasing red PCB. It is definitely a very attractive little board.
Let's take a closer look.

Considering its diminutive size, there is plenty of room around the CPU
socket. It also has the mounting holes should you decide to install a
much larger heatsink or waterblock. The VIA KM266 Northbridge chipset is passively
cooled with a standard sized chipset heatsink. Right next to the
Northbridge however, you'll find a rather large heatsink which is used to cool
the ProSavage8 2D/3D Graphic Controller.

You
have your 3 PCI slots supporting 3.3v/5v PCI bus Interface. There are
two front panel connectors located right next to the 3rd PCI slot. As we
mentioned, the KM2M Combo-L comes with integrated video however, those who
would like to install better video can use the optional 4X AGP slot. The
VIA VT8235 chipset does not include a heatsink. The CMOS battery and
internal USB 2.0 pins are located at the lower right hand corner.

Your
CD-IN and SPDIF connectors are located directly in front of your PCI slots.
What's really nice about this MicroATX board is that it has 4 memory banks
supporting both 184 pin DDR or 168 pin SDRAM. It supports a maximum size
of 2GB. Directly below the memory banks you'll find the IDE and Floppy
connectors.

Parallel Port, 4 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x RJ45 LAN port, Mouse, Keyboard and Audio
connectors including MIC, Audio In and Audio Out. MSI includes the I/O
