Abit IC7-G Canterwood Motherboard Review

Performance

To measure performance, we will be using both Sandra 2004 and PC Mark 2002.  Test results will be given at stock speed and maximum OC.  The following configuration will be used for testing:

Processor: Intel P4 2.8Ghz (800Mhz)
Memory: Corsair TwinX1024-4000Pro
Video Card: PNY GF4MX420 AGP
Operating System: Windows XP Professional
Cooling: Air (Alpha PAL8942T)

Sandra 2004

First test we will perform is the Sandra's CPU Arithmetic Benchmark.

**200FSB**

Results

Dhrystone ALU: 8503

Whetstone FPU/iSSE2: 3504/6226

We see some decent scores at default speed.

**245FSB**

Results

Dhrystone ALU: 10385

Whetstone FPU/iSSE2: 4289/7609

Results at maximum OC were very impressive.  Scores were very high and even surpassed those of the 3.2Ghz reference system.

The next test we will perform is Sandra's Memory Bandwidth Benchmark.

**200FSB**

Results

Int Buffered: 4772

Float Buffered: 4771

**245FSB**

Results

Int Buffered: 5863

Float Buffered: 5736

Overall, we see some very nice memory scores and a significant increase in performance at maximum OC.

The Final Sandra test we will perform is the CPU Multi-Media Benchmark.

**200FSB**

Results

Integer iSSE2: 21460

Float iSSE2: 31083

**245FSB**

Results

Integer iSSE2: 26246

Float iSSE2: 37981

When running at maximum OC, we see again some very impressive results and outperforms even the 3.2Ghz reference system.
